Day One – Arrival in Kathmandu

As with all of our adventures, we’ll start by meeting you at the airport and accompanying you to your hotel. Once settled in you’ll have an opportunity to explore Kathmandu, an incredible medieval city, as chaotic as it is magical. Your boat buddies will most likely all be coming on different flights, so we will arrange an evening get together and trip briefing for everyone once we are all situated. A nice relaxing start to your adventure.

Day Two – Heading into nature – canyoning!

After breakfast in our hotel, we’ll leave Kathmandu by private minibus and quickly find ourselves traveling deep into rural Nepal. After about three hours snaking through the foothills of the Himalaya, we’ll arrive at the banks of the mighty Trisuli River. This will be the start of our rafting adventures, but don’t get hasty! After an awesome local lunch, we’ll trek into the jungle for about 2 hours in order to reach the start of a pristine canyoning course, rarely visited by tourists. After a safety briefing you’ll be rappelling down waterfalls, along with your guide, some as long as 40 meters. This is a very exciting day, which you’ll be spending in pristine Nepali nature. After heading down the waterfalls we’ll get you back to the river camp for a bbq and refreshments. You’ll spend the night in really well put together permanently tented accommodation, with beds and clean, Western-style toilets.

Day Three – Rafting the Trisuli River

Today after a relaxed breakfast, we’ll start rafting! The Trisuli offers a perfect day’s rafting on rapids up to grade 4. It’s a great way to ease into the adventure, as the rapids will not be as intense as subsequent days. It’s also a great opportunity for us all to get to know each other and how we work as a team on the water. After taking out of the river, drying off and having a few cups of tea or coffee and some snacks, we’ll jump in the jeep and head to Khudi, which will be our camp spot for the night, right in the thick of things for tomorrow!

Day Four – Trek to further fun in the Marshyangdi

An incredible day starts by hiking for a few hours in order to get to the start of the rapids. We trek through beautiful jungle from Khudi to Nagdi, our put-in point on the Marshyangdi! The trek is an excellent interlude between raft runs and adds another dimension to this already exciting trip. At Nagdi we’ll swap the hiking boots for rafting helmets and flow with the rapids down to Bulbhule. The rafting is frantic and unrelenting! This river really is a test and the rapids are awesome. You’ll be hitting plenty of 4s, 4 s and even 5-s today! Tonight we’ll sleep in tents or a local lodge, depending on availability.

Day Five – Our Final Day on the Marshyandi

You’ll be back into the rapids, on our final day of rafting, battling our way down to the Dam that marks the end of our expedition in the Marshangdi River. We’ll exit before heading to Pokhara to spend the night looking back on our incredible journey through central Nepal.

Day Six – Come Fly With Us then Fly Home!

We’ll start the day really early (5am), with a short hike up to Sarangkot, where you will witness a beautiful Himalayan sunrise over Annapurna 1 and Dhaulagiri. No trip to the Himalaya is complete without a mountain sunrise, and you’ll be so thankful you got up early to witness it! After sunrise we’ll head back to the hotel for breakfast and a relaxing morning, before you are picked up to go paragliding! Your pilots will brief you before you float serenely back to Earth with the Annapurna mountain range as your back-drop. After lunch we’ll check out of the hotel and fly to Kathmandu, where they may be time for some sightseeing before your flight back home in the evening. An incredible journey ends and it’s been our pleasure to host you.
